Women's day celebration: 2020

This year we had clebrated women’s day in one of our branch ‘Purnanagar’, Ranaghat under Nadia district of West Bengal. The programme was organised at Ramkrishna Sarada Missionary Vidyapith with near about 55 female participants as well as borrowers from the same location. We did welcome them with flowers and sweets. The programme was started with welcome speach by Miss. Sudari Modak, Director, GSMS. The main discussion was initiated by Ms. Tulika from our funding partner Milaap. She had analysed the present secnerio of women’s security and awareness in society today. Moreover, Mr.Ganesh Modak, MD, GSMS had also described the services that offer to women borrowers by GSMS in coverage area. A small chat session of awareness regarding women rights, health, education was scheduled on that day.

FINANCIAL LITERACY PROGRAMME ORGANISED BY R.B.I

Reserve Bank of India organised ‘Financial Literacy’ programme at Purnanagar, Ranaghat under the banner of SRIJA CHEMO Pvt.Ltd. School children of Ramakrishna Sarada Missionary Vidyapith took part in the above programme and enriched themselves with the basic knowledge of day to day banking transactions with special reference to role of R.B.I

Boulder Microfinance Training Program, TURIN, ITALY

Mr. Ganesh Chadra Modak, was selected by SIDBI, with another Official from India, to attend a three weeks Boulder Microfinance Training Program that was held from July 17th to August 4th, 2017 at the International Training Centre of the ILO in Turin, Italy. The above interactive training programme covered different aspects of ‘Microfinance’ and was attended by delegates from across the globe specially from underdeveloped and developing countries
